This page is dedicated to Russet, the most pretty girl who was only able to share her love for a short time. She will be forever missed & in our hearts forever.

We took you in as a kitten & we loved you dearly. You and Bear had a special relationship and when you could not sleep with him, you would lay on his teddy as seen in the last picture we have of you. FIP, a terrible disease, how unfair that it chose you to invade. It took your life, but not your spirit. We all love you Lola and miss you very much.

4 kittens found in a box in an alley awaiting garbage pick up. Sadly, these 2 boys succumbed to distemper.

Grizzly arrived to us by transportation (the engine of a vehicle). He was loved quickly by many, but his destiny was not one we were prepared for. Grizzly came down with panleukopenia (feline distemper). He did his best to fight this awful virus, but it was not to be part of his plan. Upon taking his little body to our vet clinic to decide on his burial, a big semi truck pulled up and on the side of the truck read "Welcome to Grizzly Country" To us, it was a sign from Grizzly … he was home … his journey completed. We all love you Grizzly and think of you often.

It is with deep sadness that I post Ozzie onto the memory page. Ozzie and Harriet were rescued together … a dump off in someone's backyard. Ozzie was always quieter than Harriet, we hoped it was just because of the trauma. Nine days after their arrival, Ozzie developed a fever … even though everything medically was tried ...it was not enough. Ozzie passed away 2 weeks to the day of his arrival. I will never forget the short time we had with him. He touched a deep spot in my heart and I will never forget him. On January 22 I told Ozzie it was alright….he did not have to fight anymore….he could go to Rainbow Bridge. And so he did ….

This remembrance is difficult to post. It makes it final … we all want it to be a dream and we will wake up and it will not be true. Munchkin, a lovable, playful friend passed away on September 13th due to liver problems. He was adopted by a wonderful young couple who are grieving deeply for their loss. A special poem is being made from his mom and we will post in later. Munchkin touched us at here at KC Rescue, all that knew him loved him. We are so sorry for the pain his family is feeling … we cannot even begin to express our sympathy in words. Please read the next page dedicated to Munchkin was a special poem and picture from the family who adopted him.
