KC Rescue strongly believes in the quality of care
we give our cats, not the numbers we rescue.
We DO NOT deal with farm surplus or owned pets!
KC Rescue is dedicated to it's mission …. to carry the paws of abandoned or stray cats. We also deal with the feral (wild) cats to help control the population. KC Rescue began it's journey in December of 2001. Even though we were faced with many trials, we were able to overcome them by putting our trust in our veterinarians who work at our side. Once a stray cat enters our program, we put up posters, allowing a 3 day period for the cat to be claimed. When the time limit is up, the cats go through the mandatory medical procedures listed below. The cats then stay at the adoption center until they find their forever home. Feral cats are placed onto suitable farms that meet the criteria set by KC Rescue. In some cases, they are released back into industrial areas for rodent control. They are all sterilized to prevent more unwanted births. Cats that test positive for leukemia or the FIV Virus are euthanised humanely to prevent the spread of these diseases.
